How to make dark henna paste: Tips and Tricks

Premature greying of hair is a very very common thing these days. It happens mostly because of our lifestyle, food intake, exposure to sun/pollution or may be hereditary. Whatever might be the reason, the simplest and the natural way to hide our grey hair is by colouring it with henna. This is the most natural, and cheapest way for hair colouring. We can prefer doing henna even when we do not have grey hairs, but we want that brownish ting in our hair or we want to condition our hair.

So here are some tips and tricks which you should follow while making the henna paste:

1. Always make the mixture of henna in an iron bowl to get the darkest brownish black colour;
2. Keep the henna soaked for 10-12 hours before applying;
3. Preferably Mix coffee powder with the henna as it brings out a darker shade and is also good for hair;
4. While making the paste use warm coffee water to make the paste, and keep it in a thicker consistency;
5. After keeping the paste for around 10-12 hours, mix egg white/curd to finish making the paste (this is because henna tends to dry our hair, which then becomes rough and brittle. Adding curd/egg white reduces the effect of dryness and also adds a shine to hair);
6. Do wash your hair with shampoo the day before you want to apply henna;
7. Do not shampoo your hair the day you apply henna, just wash with plain water;
8. Keep the paste for 1-1.5 hours if you want colour and 30-40 minutes if you want to condition your hair with henna.

Enjoy!!

So why I'm in love with these? I have tried like so many conditioners on my hair, some of it turned out to leave my hair too sticky, some didn't do its job at all and left my hair brittle and rough, and to be very honest, I was tired to figure out which one will suit me the best. Then suddenly I came across these Khadi conditioners. The first time I used them only I felt the difference, it nourished my hair, made it soft and smooth, like the way a conditioner should exactly be. Moreover, it is not at all costly. I believe for all the variety of conditioner that Khadi has, its priced at or...

I have been using this shampoo for the longest time ever! For the last FOUR years, I'm using it. So the shampoo actually looks like this: The shampoo had a different packaging when I just started using it and is now in this form. So you can understand I have seen all phases of this shampoo. LOL!! I actually have very dry and rough hair and was looking for some shampoo which will keep it soft and not make it even drier after hair wash. This exactly serves the purpose. It is transparent and has a very mild and nice f...
