Durga Puja is one of the biggest festival celebrated by the Bengalies. I am a Bengali by birth and I have recently shifted to Aurangabad, Maharashtra (you can check out the places that I have explored here in Aurangabad in my previous blog: https://pcfoodfacelife.blogspot.com/2018/08/blog-post.html). So this 2018 Durga puja I had spent in Aurangabad, and that's when I discovered that there is a Bengali Association in Aurangabad (there might be more, but I am talking about the one I am aware of right now). As I came to know, this Bengali Association celebrates all the Bengali festivals in the authentic Bengali way, and so was the Durga Puja.
The Durga Puja of this particular Bengali association is hosted in the "Sagar Lawns and Function Hall" which is near the Prozone Mall in the Chilkalthana Area (https://www.google.co.in/maps/contrib/104235049707915129776/place/ChIJE7FM7_Gi2zsRYC0D6NRB0Ag/@19.5396149,74.1340508,9z/data=!4m6!1m5!8m4!1e1!2s104235049707915129776!3m1!1e1).
The puja which is celebrated here is really grand and it follows each and every ritual that originally are followed in Bengali tradition. They also serve bhog during all the 5 days of puja. It's been quite a long time that the puja is being hosted here, and was in some other place some 4-5 years back. I am sharing the details of the association in the image below, in case you want to contact and become a member of the association, you can contact them.
I also came to know eventually that there are two more places in Aurangabad where similar Bengali Durga Puja is being celebrated, one is in Waluj and other is in Gul Mandi. But to be very honest, I have not visited these places, and I came to know about these two other locations very recently, so maybe next year I will try and explore these too.
Enjoy!!
