Home Made Herbal Hair Oil

In my blog "Hair fall remedies" (https://pcfoodfacelife.blogspot.com/2018/11/hair-fall-remedies.html) I have discussed the importance of oiling hair. So, here I am to share with you a natural and homemade hair oil, which is to be made with very basic and readily available ingredients, which might be either available in your kitchen itself or in stores nearby.

So what all you need to prepare the oil?

Ingredients:

i. Coconut Oil,
ii. Castor Oil,
iii. Mustard Oil,
iv. Neem Leaves/Dried Neem Leaf Powder,
v. Curry Leaves,
vi. Hibiscus Flower/Dried hibiscus powder,
vii. Amla/Indian gooseberry/Dried Amla Powder and

viii.Methi Seeds/Fenugreek Seeds

How to prepare the oil?

In a pan, take 500ml of coconut oil, 100ml Castor Oil, 100ml Mustard oil mix it well, and put it at low flame. After it gets little warmed up, add 7-8 strands of neem leaf (or 3-4 tablespoon of dried neem leaf powder), 5-6 strands of curry leaves, 5-6 hibiscus flower (or 1-2 tablespoon of dried hibiscus powder), 4-5 amla/Indian gooseberry (or 3-4 tablespoon of dried amla powder), around 50gms of methi/fenugreek seed. Stir the mixture well with all the ingredients in it. Heat it till the time all the ingredients changes its colour to brownish black.

After that, strain the mixture, and transfer it to a container (preferably a glass container).
Yes, now your homemade oil is ready! Apply it minimum twice a week (root to tip) (preferably warm up the oil before applying). Leave it overnight, and wash off the next morning with a mild shampoo and conditioner.

Benefits:

Regular usage of this hair oil will make your hair soft, will lessen the tendency of split ends, reduce the itchiness of the scalp and will also reduce hair fall.

For people who have dandruff issues, add the juice of half a lemon in the oil before applying.

So why I'm in love with these? I have tried like so many conditioners on my hair, some of it turned out to leave my hair too sticky, some didn't do its job at all and left my hair brittle and rough, and to be very honest, I was tired to figure out which one will suit me the best. Then suddenly I came across these Khadi conditioners. The first time I used them only I felt the difference, it nourished my hair, made it soft and smooth, like the way a conditioner should exactly be. Moreover, it is not at all costly. I believe for all the variety of conditioner that Khadi has, its priced at or...

So the shampoo actually looks like this: The shampoo had a different packaging when I just started using it and is now in this form. So you can understand I have seen all phases of this shampoo. LOL!! I actually have very dry and rough hair and was looking for some shampoo which will keep it soft and not make it even drier after hair wash. This exactly serves the purpose. It is transparent and has a very mild and nice f...
